**A KIND OF HUSH (October 08)

Not in Walker Library though.....the band was delighted to rattle a few bookshelves by taking part in the library's centenary celebrations. Now, how many years is it that we've been playing?

**CORR (June 08)

Promises, promises....

She'll definitely be turning up next gig

**DRINKS MIX-UP (June 08)

I've just had a thought....maybe they put soda-water through the multi-mixer instead of lemonade?

**INTERNATIONAL GEORDIE DAY (9th Jun 2008)

The band have achieved 10,000 hits on youtube for the live performance of Blaydon Races, just in time to celebrate International Geordie Day. Thanks everyone, you're all dead canny!

**PROBS WITH THE WEBSITE (Jun 08)

Apologies, but the website was down for a few days. It has cheered up again now.

**BRA-VO (Mar 08)

Thanks to the young lady at the Custom's House for offering her support!

**ST.PATRICK'S DAY MOVED - IT'S OFFICIAL (Feb 08)

The band were feeling bad because we weren't all available to play on March 17th this year. Then the good news came in that Rome has given the green light to move St.Patrick's Day to the Saturday. It's true! See you all at Paddy Whack's on St.Patrick's Day.

**WHAT THE BODHRAN WAS INVENTED FOR (Feb 08)

At last, one of the world's remaining mysteries has been explained. The bodhran is the perfect instrument for clearing buffet tables. Have you seen how much cheese it will hold?

**FAN OF THE MONTH - DECEMBER

Our famous fan, Ken Mood, came forward in time to see the band at Heaton Park - he still thought he was in 1973!

the last thing I remember was a car-accident....

sam, sam....I keep hearing this diddley-diddley music

**FAN OF THE MONTH STRIKES AGAIN

Thanks Cally for putting a poster of the band on Second Life. You've kept that famous actor from Life on Mars off the top spot (Sep 07)

**SEA-FOAM GREEN IS THE NEW RED

Our fashion correspondent Steve O'Ryan is looking for a pair of Converses to match the new Mandocaster (Sep 07)

**BACKING SINGERS WANTED

Oh, and Malcolm's been "singing" again

yee ha!

**FAN OF THE WEEK

Paul from Sunderland couldn't make it to our St.Pat's eve gig because of a bad kebab. He recovered in time to get out on Saturday afternoon, drinking enough Guinness to get a free hat which he flogged to a bloke in the taxi queue which paid his fair home. Keep off the takeaways and we'll see you next time at the Smugglers Paul! (Mar 07)

**COUNTING STARS

The Daily Telegraph (13th Jan) is urging its readers to go into their gardens tomorrow night and count O'Ryans stars as part of a campaign to counter light pollution. So, if you missed us at the Irish Centre, Sonic is the bright star in the middle, Betelgeuse is on bass, Bellatrix on fiddle, Saiph on drums and Rigel on mandolin. Kev was wearing O'Ryan's belt. (Jan 07)

**JARRA LADS

Jack O'Ryan's grandfather "Moothie" O'Ryan failed the audition for the Jarrow March and instead became the last man in England to be gibbetted for playing the harmonica badly. Malcolm - you have been warned! (Oct 06)
